Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)
Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas that is stored and transported in liquid form at atmospheric pressure and at a temperature of approximately -162 oC. Liquefying natural gas reduces its volume by a factor of 600.
Mini LNG Plant
JES has already preparing the production of LNG by constructing Mini LNG Plants. It has the capacity around 5-10 MMSCFD of gas. It will be the first private Mini LNG Plant in Indonesia.
Diesel Dual Fuel Conversion with Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) at PT Berau Coal for Mining Equipment
On September 16, 2014, JES has done the final test in PT Berau Coal mining for Diesel Dual Fuel Conversion using Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). This program was conducted by PT Java Energy Semesta (JES) as team leader in cooperation with PT United Tractors, PT Power Service Indonesia and PT Berau Coal. Experiments conducted on mining production tool PT Berau Coal, the vehicle Heavy Dump Truck Komatsu HD 465-7R branded. This field trial was a success with an average conversion is done according to the target, ie 50:50 to those on diesel fuel with gas (LNG).
JES as the gas company has succeeded in supplying LNG to the customer candidates, namely PT Berau Coal, with the distance of about 500 km from Bontang, East Kalimantan heading to Berau, East Kalimantan. JES is the first private company that can supply LNG to domestic gas demand in Indonesia with the help of government programs through PT Pertagas Niaga and PT Badak LNG.
This conversion program is the first program in the world's to convert HD 465-7R as well as the first program in Indonesia for LNG for domestic use. This program was the starting point for the use of LNG for domestic consumption in Indonesia.
